Computer Issues
Jul. 20th, 2004 11:00 pmWhat a day! Went to Pulaski with Rita at 7.30am only to a) not be able to fix the problem, b) have the original problem mutate upon contact with my person, and c) not correctly identify what either problem was in the first place. It was all a corrupted file due to one crashed workstation. Dammit. I thought the hub had blown. Strike one.
Strike two was getting back to Oswego around 9.30 am. The Oswego computers went down. Someone turned off the server improperly and corrupted all the files there as well. So... was on with tech support until about 1500 eastern. Got it all back up, but did nothing else. Now I am two weeks and a day behind on work.
Saw a fight on the corner of Bridge and Water Streets. Some guy tried to steal something from the Funky Monkey and the owner ran after him. Heehee. Cops handcuffed the shoplifter. Didn't see if he was actually arrested or not.
Harbormessers are already arriving. Boats are only stacked one deep at this point, and mostly on the East wall.
Bathed the dog. Fleeeeez. Eww.

Two quick drabble/fic byluzkun called A Prayer to Something Less Divine, and Wait For It. The first drabble is the better, imo, but both worth the quick read.
