Oh yeah, that's me as I'd like to see me. Probably not how others see me, though.
To illustrate my phenomenal brain power, let me show you today's example.
I finally managed to make the house photos accessable to my brother after 3 1/2 hours of work. Geocities is shit and didn't work, so I had to open a photobucket account. Most of the time I spent trying to figure out why the link to Geocities didn't work. No index page, no direct linking, blah blah blah. But it's done, and I've figured out how to do it now. I is smart.
Enjoying the "Defence of Snape as the Hero" discussions. Really good cannon work. Took me a good couple reads to chew through it all. There are patterns of redemption all over the Snape character, in my estimate, that is what makes up the bulk of his character circa 1990-1995. That and a tall glass of self control. I do agree that the "psychotic" or at the least "anti-social/criminal" characterizations you see so much these days in fics isn't cannon at this point in his life. In the past, perhaps. Leading the life of the double agent could possibly push him back that way in the future, but that's to come. A traitor to both sides, as I have seen in a few fics. It's a hard theme to write and difficult to make enjoyable. If he does live through the fall of Tom Riddle, that is how he will probably end up. He will never be a hero in the way Potter or Albus are.
