DSS and Work Overload
Nov. 3rd, 2004 04:03 pmWent to the DSS this morning to apply for HEAP fundage. Spent a hour in line to fill out a five minute form. Pissed me off. Perhaps I will have heat this winter for a change. Probably not, but I have to attempt all my options, if only for my own sanity.
Work hours have changed. Am now working until 8pm, which in the grand scheme of things is not too bad. Typical retail. Once you get used to the 7a-6p thing, the 7a-8p is a bit long. But oh well, what can you do. Too bad I don't get paid for anything over 40hours. The overtime would be nice. But, then again, I do have a paying job and I shouldn't complain too much. William is none too happy about the change, but I don't see him volunteering to work more either.
Switched recording programs. Decided Cakewalk Pro does more of what I want it to do. Have kept CuBase as a backup. It's good, just cumbersome and complicated. Cakewalk seems to be laid out better. We'll see.
