Blah... (work rant)
Apr. 21st, 2005 03:17 pmThe lack of an internet connection is truly killing my blogging experience. There's been a lot happening lately, but I do not remember it when I actually have five minutes at work to write.
Uther has started work at the local Lowe's - he hates it, but it does provide a bit of stability so I can quit me job. I would like to find something a bit "cooler" but who wouldn't. I am not too hopeful. Will most likely end up being a clerk in a store somewhere; it's a true shame that people are not matched up with their intellect. I would like something that actually allows me to use my brains. I am tired of pushing a screwdriver and taking out garbage. I did not complete college, I know this is a liability these days. However, I am not incompetent or stupid, nor lazy. A $50,000 a year job is impossible at this point. But a decent job that pays a liveable wage where I am not belittled and abused every day is not an impossibility. I think the thing I like least about my current job is not the low pay, conflicting job descriptions, and poor management. It's the people that I work for. I don't like them. I don't like them on a personal or a professional level. It is affecting my work. It is time for me to leave.
On a happier note - Uther and I have decided to resume practicing and see how high we can count. If if's a girl, she will be called Brigit and if a boy, William Harry Henri.
