Uncle Peanut
Feb. 6th, 2006 06:49 pmUncle P's in the hospital again. Don't think he'll make it out this time. He stopped breathing. They were going to take him off the ventolator today, but I haven't called to see how he's doing yet. There's no message on the machine, so he's still with us. For how long I don't know.
He was sitting at his spot in the bar and was looking faint, so Pam took his blood pressure. It was low, but tolerable. He kept sayin' he couldn't stand up. She took it again a few minutes later and it had dropped even lower, and his heartrate was too too fast. Stubborn bugger didn't want to go in an ambulance, so Terry drove him over and he's been in the ICU ever since.
P's cheated death no less than eight times in the last twelve months. I don't think he'll make it out this time.
Asbestosis is a terrible thing. Don't ever let your boss tell you 'you'll be fine' when you should know better.
