Circadian Rhythm Reset
May. 1st, 2006 11:44 amDidn't sleep last night. Not one minute. Lay in bed, tossing and thinking. Tried everything I could think of. Eventually just gave up. Maybe this'll kick the depression a little. Used to help in the past. Not like I wasn't tired, just wasn't sleepy. Still tired now in fact. Not sleepy. Guess it's finally been medically proven that for depression a longer sleep-wake cycle and skipping nights of sleep occasionally is beneficial. Read it somewhere on MedLine back in the day.
To add insult to injury, some lady rear-ended me this morning at the stop sign getting onto 481 from Bunner St. More of a tap than a crash, so I just waved at her and smiled. Wake the fuck up and put the coffee down lady. It's only life, go a little slower.
I did get her license plate number just in case. No harm done to the car, not even a scratch.
Also, found a new author I really dig. Her name is Angie and she writes het (unfortunately) but she's got quite a good female lead character going who I like a lot. Lots of action too; the plot is never boring, although it could use a bit more padding to make it longer. WIP, though, and those can sometimes be a real downer.
Angie's MySpace Page. It's a little busy with the overlapping VH stuff and graphics, but she is a good fic writer.
Also, was going to bring the acoustic guitar along to work today to calm myself at lunch, but I couldn't find the green song binder. Otherwise I'd be playing 'Over the Hills and Far Away' repetitously for half and hours and that's not cool, no matter how great of a song it is. Maybe tomorrow.
Gotta hit the grocer tonight. Good sales at the local and should stock up on some stuff. Also want to hit AJ Moore or whatever it is to check on Rock and Roll Scarves (fashion accessories for the guitarist in us all). And finish with the list of items needed for my new wardrobe. Went to 'retail therapy' on Saturday (after the bad Friday) and couldn't not find a single thing I wanted. Made me cry almost. Where to find leather or sim-leather pants at a reasonable price with a good cut for my figure in the middle of Hicksville? I'd probably have an easier time skinning the cow meself and learning how to make leather and then sewing it.
Visual of me as Jamie Gumm from Silence of the Lambs, sewing away alone in a dark dirty basement.
Man I'm one fucked up chicken.
