Classic Rock Photo Quiz
May. 9th, 2006 11:36 amThis quiz was surprisingly fun and amusing. Must admit I did miss America and the Standells. (hides head in shame). Really, how could I miss Bunnell? He's in ever single Carvin catalogue they put out... (shrug)
Sandy's story has taken on a life of it's own in post-production. It's turned into a fully illustrated webpage now. I was up until 12.30 last night scanning my old books and clippings for images. Made a few changes as I sorted out some erroneous dates and small items. Cleaned up some of the word flow. Decided to post it to the Hawkins Forum on Mother's Day... Kind of a little tribute for Mums out there everywhere. Gives me a week to work on the webpage format and get the images settled in. Was warming to look back through all the photos of Linda Lawrence and Julian and that whole scene. Julian's got a little boy now that I didn't know about named Joolz. He's very cute and looks just like Julian (who looked just like Brian). Julian is still the spitting image of his father, and it's very strange to see an older, bald Brian peering out from the computer screen. Mourning again the loss of a book I had years ago claimed by a basement flood. There were some lovely pictures of Pat Andrews and her son Brian in it. One I especially wanted of Brian on a train as a youth that would have gone excellently with the story, but I can't find it anywhere online. For a Darkness fic, it's really Stones heavy which is weird. I put on Satanic Majesties while I was editing and scanning. Husband asked if it was Space->Drums. Hahahaha. No, I don't think so.
Was quite the challenge having a historical story set in three different locations. Research has been fun; I now know a lot more about Cheltenham, Camden (London), and Lowestoft. Maybe the research will pay off when I apply for citizenship.
Off to clean up the overworked Photobucket account. Just dumped everything in the main page last night and now I've got to sort through it all.
