Day of Exercise
May. 13th, 2006 06:24 pmI got my lard arse moving today. Was actually warm and mostly sunny so I got outside. Walked into town to pay a few bills and walked all the way back home. Did lawn maintenance with both push mower and weedwhacker.
Really wish I could afford a fit club membership. I find I don't really mind exercising as much as I used to. I would have died in high school if someone suggested working out. Now I seem to tolerate it better, but only the things I like doing. I'm not going to run a marathon anytime soon. I walk a lot. Love swimming, but it's too damn expensive to get to a pool. Tennis is fun, but... Not like I have a tennis court or even a half court on the back forty. Footy is alright, but who wants a chick who gets winded after five minutes on their team?
Races have started for the year. All I hear now is loud cars from about noon until 10 at night. Sometimes the wind blows the right way and I don't hear them so much and it's alright. Today's been bad, I can even hear the announcer over the PA. Woohoo, another heat. Yeah, vvrrrroom vroom I get it. With the price of gasoline you'd expect they'd not have so many racers.
Bridge Street Run was yesterday. Totally missed it, which is a good thing. Apparently the cops really tightened down on the underage drinking and were out in force ID'ing everyone. Hope a few got run over. The less students, the better.
Need to go off and do some dishes. Would rather sit and listen to more music, but duty calls!
