Back to sewing
May. 21st, 2006 08:21 pmGot ripped last night. Yeah, after dropping that much money on any project I get hammered.
But... in the long run it will be worth it in saved NiMo bills. I just don't want to spend that much up front. Unless it's on the studio. Strange, I can drop thousands on gear or whatnot and not bat an eyelash, but I don't want to spend £ on home improvliments.
Have a meeting tomrrow with someone who is going to insulate and side the house. No insulation at 40°N sucks, lemme tell you. And the asbestos homasote siding is going. Not only is it illegal these days, it's just plain nasty looking.
Was productive today despite last night's activities and feel proud.
Baked dad's banana bread and delivered.
Went to Cicero to schedule the siding guys
Cut the grass between rainfalls
Washed dishes from last night's bake a thon
Scrubbed out the bathroom
Prepped lunch for work tomorrow
Laundered several loads and changed beddings
And now I'm sewing. Getting to work on the black Japanese inspired top I started on a year or so ago. It's all cut out, I just never actually put it together. Still need some frogs, but I can get them later.
Drinking a 2005 Goats Du Rhome Rosé from South Africa. It... It tastes like box wine. Overly sugary and no body or character at all. Slight unpleasant medicinal taste. Not recommended, despite the attractive price tag. Stick with the box stuff if this is your price range.
