Jun. 8th, 2006 09:35 amAunt Linda has officially closed her shop, and we have to pick up our cabinets tomorrow. Spent all last night cleaning out the library to make room for them. SO much junk, so little time to go to the tip and get rid of it all. (sigh) If it was any good, I'd put stuff up on Ebay, but it's all old wires and construction debris.
William picked up the new-to-us Klipsch Cornwall speakers the other day. At over 50kilos each, they are massive flippers. And loud. And perfect. The old Pioneer Amp from the early 70's finally died. William took it apart for cleaning and a bunch of capacitors fell off. Ooops! Guess that explains the crackles and fluctuations. No fixing them either, it's just a dead beast. Hooked up the 2ndary amp (which sounds worse but is functional at this point. The Cornwall's take up a good portion of the living room, but it's well worth it. There's not a downside to the beauties.
Writing another story. Want to get it mostly fleshed out before I start posting it. Love/hate the main character right now. I'll need to back track and flesh her out a bit more before I get to where I am at this point. Don't really know where it's going either; had the brilliant idea to do a fic around cooking so's I could throw in some recipies. Nowt else like Kitchen!sex.
I've decided he's a tart, and strawberry at that.
Listened to the MISC folder last night, ran across 'Yvette in English' by David Crosby for the first time in many years. Just realized how much it sounds like one of the songs from my fave Irish disk by Paul Brady. One of those odd moments when you end up singing the wrong words to the right tune.
