Writer's Block
Jun. 13th, 2006 11:14 amStuck. Not just on the word from yesterday. Frisson, I remembered while I was washing dishes.
Now I've got my male lead character walking the streets of Vancouver, just having been electrocuted. I don't know whether to have him sit at a bar and get picked up by his manager or maybe get picked up by the cops. He's had a rough day in the story so far. Mind, he's got no ID, no money, and no mobile in a strange city. He isn't the type to be picked up by the police either. Maybe I should just have a fan pick him up and take him partying or something. Nah, he's more the type to wander into a quiet pub and drink himself out of commission. How to get him drunk without money, though? Would add too many people, and he's not in a people mood at the moment.
I think I will have him get picked up by police. Maybe just a 'for your own protection' thing. Loitering, lol! Yeah, that'd be great. Totally embarrassing, it's so out of character for him. Perfect for a bad day. Foreign national without papers being arrested. I think my writers block might have ended.
Sometimes LJ is actually useful!
