Weekend Recap
Aug. 20th, 2006 11:01 pmBusy weekend.
Danny 'Blue Hair' Mincey came over and spent all day on Saturday. 2/3 of the Terrible Trio back together again. He just haid his stump operated on, and was unable to wear his prosthetic, so he was hopping around getting beers and checking the house out. William was dragging around 'cause of his back. Made quite the sight to see these two old "coolest in school" guys reduced to sitting around my cluttered kitchen with various ailments. Starting to drink at 10am didn't help much either. But it was all cool and I had a good time hearing about the old days. Alyce came over for a little bit, and so did Reet. It was like a house party without the partying. Did a little bit of tidying and cooked a few meals for the boys. Went grocery/beer shopping. FInished up the draft of the Street Team petition - it looks awesome! But it's in Publisher format and I can't find anyway to get it to .pdf or something useful. Bah, I'll work on that one later.
Today - vaccuumed the car out like I needed to. William unclogged the kitchen sink (note - no more spaghetti down the disposal). Caught up on dishes and laundry. Ironed. Hand scrubbed the kitchen floor. Steak au poivre for supper, with salt potatoes and corn. Uploaded the last bit of the Zeppelin 3/27/75 show for Laurie.
Wasn't too bad of a weekend, I don't think. Got a lot accomplished for sitting around and chatting most of Saturday.
