Session #1
Sep. 10th, 2006 02:20 pmRecording session ran a little over last night. Had way to much to drink, but think we got some usable things on tape. Three songs, at least. They're very rough but the band has a tape now and can work them out on their own a little before I give them a real set up and start tracking things.
The rhythm guitarist has some crazy idea for a concept album, god help us all. Last thing I need is another major project. Maybe when winter comes around again I'll be ready. Not now. They've already got me booked for next Saturday again. The bass played had a really sweet 6 sting Tobais in brazilian koa and ebony. Solid thru neck too, weighed a right ton and the neck was unnavigatible, but he got good sound out of it. Didn't have the tape deck set up for playback 'cause of the quick set up, so the time was all shot to hell. They'll live with it. Track notes were sparse anyway, and I only put up two ambient mics. They've got a long road ahead of them, if they ever even get a drummer or a vocalist.
Writing, writing, writing, you girls are gonna kill me.
