Finally got William up and moving to see Terry's band Titanium Black.  Haven't seen them since Harborfest of '04 I think it was.  Still awesome, Terry's got one hell of a voice.  Shame he's got a fairly weak band behind him.  The guitarist was good, don't see a lot of hammer tapping anymore, especially employed well or to any great extent.  Drummer looked kind of like a young Mick Fleetwood - made me laugh.  They opened as Jolly Roger which the locals loved.  Still have their original demo tape from the early 80's, photocopied jcard and all.

Lisette was the 2nd act of the night.  Good voice, but her band had buggered off so it was like karaoke on crack.  She drove people away 'cause there wasn't a live band behind her.  Alannis Morrisette type music doesn't really cross over well to the Iron Maiden/ACDC type crowd.  She spoke really good English for coming from Sweden.  She made the best of it but I can't say I enjoyed her material.  Too whiny, too many "I"s.  Have certainly heard worse tho.

Then it was Titanium Black's turn and the crowd came back in from their smoke break.  Was good, lots of fun.  He's just got such a command over the crowd.  Not bad for someone who used to deliver pizza's.  Paula would love his material, I should get a disk & send it to her.  Right up her alley.

Other news:  Had the wierdest message the other day from Billy Sherwood of all people.  He's got a new thing going with Alan White and Tony Kaye.  Dunno how the hell he found me or that he even remembered me, but it's cool.

Now, compare this next photo of the music I love with the ones of Terry's band above.  I think we have a wee problem.
