Frost in June
Jun. 5th, 2007 06:47 pmFor once my lassitude and financial woes have actually paid off.
With the cold snap of this afternoon, any plants I would have purchased would be nicely frozen by now. For once something worked out. It's June and it's still freezing, kinda wondering if we're to have any sort of a growing season this year. Might not be worth planting tomatoes at all.
The first year I moved up here it was like this. Moved up in August and at nights we were getting frosts. Totally sucks. I'm not even in Siberia or anything, it should not be this cold on 5 June. Had all the windows open at home too so it was damn cold when I got home.
Soaked at lunch. Had to go pick up the Chinese food for the office and got caught in a microburst. Totally soaked everything, had to change into my spare clothes. But hey, what can you do. Gave me something to talk with the patients about.
Gonna pay some bills and then dick around on the internets again. Nice hot cuppa and a warm fuzzy sweater and I could sit here all night.
