Racks and birthdays

The new rackmount unit arrived. It's taller than I am. 23 space I think, enough for anything we could possibly want to do in the future. Not installed yet as William has decided to fall asleep for the night, so the studio's half apart. Damn shame he can't hook up the pathing himself, he'll not have any audio tomorrow if he wants to work on Rachel's tracks. Hahahahaha, maybe he shouldn't have fallen asleep. Or maybe he should work so I can stay home and keep the studio going.

Have found the bestest birthday gift for my friend. I'm so excited. Have spent the last few weeks bumming around the 'net trying to find her something nice and unique but not a million bucks either (altho I'd spend that much for her if I had it). It's perfect. Actually I want one myself but they're for her, so I'll just perhaps peek at it a bit before sending them off to Europe.

Big question is whether to enclose a note telling her to open them in private or a note telling her to open them at her party. (evil grin) She'd kill me. She'll kill me anyway, that's half the fun isn't it?
