Ok, so now have full Ubuntu system up and running. It's quite a bit different from Xandros and what I remember of linux. Not bad, just a learning curve. Don't have any of my programs yet, just basic web access and notepad. Next to install: Open Office, Gimp, & Gaim.
In the meantime, my car is at the garage for it's check up tomorrow. The American equivalent of the MOT inspection, and I hope they find out what's wrong with the back tyres. I'm tired of looking like I'm headbanging or riding a horse until I get up to 30mph. Plus the new oxygen sensor I think it needs. More on that tomorrow hopefully.
Managed to upload the video from Jimi's basement to YouTube before the hard drive was wiped. Finally got the sound working there too. Was a setting on the editor I was using. Didn't matter in the end, the entire program was from someone else for a project that never materialize and it's all been uninstalled anyway.
So, a quick video of Paul and Jimi jamming away. Pretty dumb song, very rough, but it's a little sample of my life.
Off to a shower now and to bed early. I'm very very tired for some reason.
Wonder if I'll get my car back before noon or if I'll have to leave it at the garage until I get back home. Probably should have asked when I dropped it off, eh?
