City Ordinances
Jun. 11th, 2010 09:15 pmOne of the asshat neighbours turned us in for code violation this week. Not noise like we've always feared, or large crowds, or even the assortment of semi-salvagable machinery in the yard. They turned us in for high grass. Fuckers. Got Jack on the other side too, the only 'cool' neighbour out of the whole area. So, against doctor's orders, William got out the lawn mower and took down the grass a bit. It was damp out he says and 'didn't cut well' but it's up to code.
In retaliation I have purchased a pair of Sharp floor-sized speakers and a new set of Pioneer that are slightly larger. Add those to the Klipsch, the Boston Acoustics, the Yamaha's and the assortment of monitors from the control room and we're gonna start having some fun. That and Jack agreed to start mowing the yard at 5:30 am when he gets off shift from the plant.
I've been looking for an excuse to get back into playing the drums more. The live room also has a door that opens right to the outdoors. It's nice weather out and I really need to air that room out a bit, and it can only be open like that when someone's watching it. Kills two problems at a time.
William wants to buy lots of pink flamingo lawn ornaments and put them up all over. I'm looking for prices now on them. I'd rather put Cabbage Patch Dolls on stakes but he said that's a step too far.
Unrelatedly, Tim is probably going back to jail again. We'll see how that one goes. He's not guilty on this one, but when the DA's daughter-in-law's best friend (who also works for the county) points fingers they take her word over anyone else's. He's going to drop his US citizenship anyway, he's just got to ride this one out until he can leave.
