Protein Allergy in Canine Unit
Jul. 3rd, 2013 09:29 pmGot my new chompers cemented on yesterday. They are so smooth, that's the only complaint. The porcelain feels mostly normal and the hot/cold problems with the back one is gone.
Had to take Lucky to the Vet for his skin allergies. Vet said "Yeah, it's a bad time for allergies. Vegetarian diet," and charged us $300.00. I was expecting it to be about $100.00. Sucks. He's not even sure that's what's wrong, we have to go back in a month after he's been on this new diet. William's already sabotaging the plan, sneaking them bits of hot dog earlier. Lucky is possibly allergic to animal proteins - eggs, meat, etc. That means hot dogs, even if there is not much actual 'meat product' in the hot dogs. I can already see this is not going to go well. We are not to feed them anything but this special Royal Canin vegetarian kibble. Nothing. He's already cheating, less that 8 hours out of the gate.
Had Christy over for supper today. She had a half a day at work and needed to unwind a bit. Half of her trouble is her idiot husband Tony and the other half is the dullard son of hers. I love her, but she's not the smartest, and got hooked up with someone with a drug problem that has now caused a seizure condition. Her son just isn't the sharpest tack and she's babied him so much he really doesn't have any life skills or ambition other than video games. Granted he's 11 - he'll never outgrow the stupid, but hopefully he can turn into some sort of a human being during the next few years.
Brad & Sally are having a 4th of July party tomorrow, I get to work. Go me! At some point I will expand upon what happened Monday, but I want to see if I have to give a police statement first. It wasn't pleasant that much is certain.
Hopefully going out tomorrow to get some tile before work. Don't know if they're even open. Maybe we'll go on Friday. For about $300 we can redo the whole kitchen and dining room/bar/pantry/laundry area in this really cool tile he found.
Right now I've got a frozen daquiri calling my name. Pomegranate and acai berry. Smells good anyway.
