Tough Decisions
Feb. 25th, 2014 07:53 amWhen pulling an all nighter, when is the appropriate time to switch from an alcoholic drink to a 'morning' beverage?
Apparently 4:30am. Put away the wine and grabbed a soda. Phone cable and internet are still out. It is going to be a very long day, but there is so much to do and I can't do it at 11pm.
Ma's birthday was yesterday. Got her a purple pashmina and an Elvis coffee mug. She is talking about going on a walk today, which would be a miracle. She needs her legs rotor rooted out something bad and I think she finally realized it. Sat and talked to her for a good three hours - just stories of her life and her childhood memories and things. Shame her son has no interest in hearing them. She remembers the first Tv, then when color came along. Working at Woolworths at the lunch counter. Carroll's (McDonalds) 5cent hamburgers. Lots of things.
