Christmas shopping. Uurgh. Sadly got known for giving useful, thought out gifts and am now kind of stuck doing it. Wish I could just go to WalMart and get a scarf, candle, and lotion and be done with it all in half an hour. Sadly I try to get personalized items, which takes time to think about, select, and gather. As the nieces and nephew transition into teenagers it gets harder and harder. They just want Google Play cards or cash. How grumpy.
Mostly done, ended up getting way too much for William again (story of his life). Inversion table arrived and he has been using it a few times. It's huge tho, takes up a lot of floor space and the blind dog Dude keeps running into it.
Ordered Ma a new pair of sunglasses. Much more than I wanted to spend, but she really needed the polarization and there was no way I could justify not getting her what she needed. Still $70 for really sharp frames and polarized lenses is pretty good. I used to sell pairs like that at $3-400 dollars. Actually, that was 1.50 Cr39 I think I got her a midindex. Hmm. Oh well, no biggie.
Back to work again tonight. I think people are getting their houses rebuilt and are moving back to the area. That would explain why we are so busy. It was a good two months of slowness due to the floods.
Still gotta get the cookie list together. There's a few perennials that I'll always make, but there's 1-2 every year that are freespaces.
And signed up for Secret Santa at work. I definitely feel more a part of the community at the CCC than at the big hospital.
Pool pump might not be dead. Turns out might just be the primer capacitor. More information to follow. Raining today so I can't go out and do a few tests on the electrical chain. That's just a bad idea.
