still alive
Jan. 11th, 2020 01:45 pmStill alive. Nowhere near 100%, barely above 50%. This one's been a trip, but I'm here. Starting to come out of it more after a very rough week. Pulse is still too fast and blood pressure is low, but better than it was. Had a chicken nugget the other day and a bit of toast with peanut butter this morning. Its horrible how metallic everything tastes after being on TPN so long.
The strangest of all was this wild fic idea I had when I was half out of it. Not sure if it was a dream or a premonition (Diego Garcia hello! although that was more about the boats in the water) but it will be interesting to see how much I can remember and write out.
To add to all the whirlwind the Furnace/AC unit (they're combined systems in this house due to the climate) shit the bed. Had to have a whole new system installed yesterday. Bye bye $10k.
Surgeon wanted a follow up appointment last week but neglected to tell me he was on vacation for two weeks immediately after the surgery and there is no one covering his practice. Pretty much everything is go to the ER. I don't want to go to the ER, I want to follow up with the person who did the surgery and knows what happened. Dr Jaffri (oncologist) is pissed at the vascular surgeon because he pretty much got dumped with my care due to the surgeon's vacation and lack of coverage.
And then Neil Peart died. Can't have a post without mentioning him and Michael and Brutus. He never mentioned anything wrong except for his shoulder, so kudos to everyone around him for keeping his privacy. Fare thee well Bubba, from your Girl from Ohio.
