Broke down and bought new living room furniture today. It's not what I wanted but I don't get the things I want anyway. Should be used to it by now. William got his white fake-leather mid-modern junk. It's better than most American furniture and not the sectional sofa I'd dreaded.
Sofa and matching loveseat. It'll work. I don't completely hate it and it should be easy enough to cover up when I do get tired of looking at it. Shipping is going to take a few weeks, so plenty of time to finish working on the living room. Getting the Ikea shelves up and the stereo bits hooked up. The Yamaha amp I bought isn't strong enough to push the Klipsch speakers at 4ohms. Might have to wire in a resistor to drop them down to 8. :( The should be running at 2 ohms really.
