Bah... Got the Gonna Quit Blues
Aug. 5th, 2005 11:51 amSounds like the good start to a song. My paycheck is now a week late. They got the internet/phone shut off here earlier in the week. They got it back up and running finally, but where does that leave me for my paycheck? I've got a mortgage to pay, guys. This place is very shady. I think I'll quit if the boss ever decides to show up today. Perhaps the travelling guy is someone I can quit to. Hmmm...
In other news - my tomatoes are growing well. The watering can Russell gave me is working wonderfully. Must better than the bucket and the wine bottle. Plants seem to love it - the water doesn't run off so much anymore. Got a bunch of little green beefsteaks growing. It'll be good when they're ready to eat. Food!!!
Billy got the official full time nod at Lowes yesterday. Health Insurance, Dental Insurance! Maybe I can get my teeth fixed in the future. #1 (right top molar) is cracked and broke a while ago. Doesn't hurt, but it's very sharp. Get food stuck in it all the time. Not like Billy will use the insurace, but if he cuts another finger off at a job site, he can get it fixed.
Been feeling good - must have been the physical work at Russ' Fulton house on Wednesday. Got my head straightened around. Feel confident like I haven't in a long time. Will have to remember to do more construction and less paperwork in the future. I wish I could join the YMCA - I love to swim and it's the only exercise I will voluntarily do. Too bad they're so darn expensive. I wouldn't mind feeling like this all the time.
Finished the peacock cross stitch project last night. Started on an embroidery one. Large, but embroidery is always quicker. Perhaps this one won't take me two years to finish.
Back to (temporary) work.
