Chair Heights
Apr. 12th, 2006 11:17 amI've adjusted the height of my chair at work here three times already today. There seems to be no height at which I am comfortable. I put it high up so my legs are comfy and it doesn't fit under the desk, so my back hurts from slouching over. I put it down low to get me up to the desk, and my legs hurt because they hit the underside of the table.
I'm not exceedingly tall (5'8" + 2" heels) nor am I short. I wonder who on Earth they designed this cubicle for. Some short legged long torso-ed person. SO now both my legs and back hurt, and I'm sitting way below level of the keyboard and monitor, prolly looking very stupid. Let's give me arms a chance to share the pain, being bent at an odd angle to reach the keyboard.
I don't think a day has gone by that I haven't adjusted the chair. Got so used to it I just forgot about it.
Bob the Dog goes to the Vet today to have his eyes and butt taken care of. Don't know if they'll do it in office today or make him come back for a surgical visit. Should be able to do the eyes under local today, we used to do that at my old place of employment with just some proparacaine. Got him all shaved and clipped his toenails last night so they don't think we're abusing the poor guy. Honest! We're not, he's just really persuasive and cries when I pull out the clippers. 'Please, Mommy, not today, I'm scared of the clippers...' Me thinks someone a few years backPeter hurt him pretty bad during a grooming. At least he is being taken care of, finally. Even though it means we won't have any food money for the next two weeks and will probably have to hold off on the phone bill again.
