Am I staying up until Midnight to get DH?
     - nope.  I will get the book sometime in the near future from a small, local retailer of my choice after the zealots are gone.

Am I going to any of the DH release parties?
     - nope.   If I can't make the RLB Gathering, a bookstore full of adolescent punks who wouldn't normally touch a book is not on my list of things to do.

Hubby is downstairs reading .jpg's of the book instead of waiting another half an hour for it to be released.  Why bother?  I prefer fandom to cannon at this point anyway.  I'd much rather read what a good writer puts into the JKR universe as opposed to JKR herself.  She's just lost it, and if that leaked epilogue is correct she's really lost the plot.  Granted, my otp is Snarry and has always been Snarry, but *that*?  No, I think I'll stick in my own little world.

As her fame/fortune/popularity seems to have grown, her writing has gone down the toilet.  Maybe there's too much pressure on her now, too many expectations.  Understandable, there's only been the largest first run in history for Book 7.  She would piss someone off no matter what she wrote.  Hell, she already pissed off a lot killing Sirius, but things rolled on even after the Sirius shippers thought it was over.

Other people have said what I'd like to say about DH and they've said it better so I won't waste the electrons.

So, while avoiding the warzone that has become of LJ and 6A, I've found a bunch new photos of JHawksley.  The 'sort through' folder is is serious need of a clean through and a posting dump.

All the other RLB are heading for the meet-up in Leicester.  There's no one to talk to.  :-(  There's usually not many people to talk to my time anyway, but I can read over the day's events.  Now... there's just nothing.  Everyone was travelling today.  But, they'll have a good time and I'll see the photos on Monday or Tuesday.  Plenty of time for me to clutter up the board with Justin Love.  Hahahaha.  And post some fiction if I can.  Must make sure I can edit posts before I put it up.  If nothing else, Laurie can read it and then I can take it back down quickly.  Nah, that's asking for trouble.  Maybe just post that couch pic and a teaser blurb.  Dunno, just so bored right now.

Normally I'd write more on the Noreen story, but that's at another hold up.  I just can't write another rape scene.  Not to my satisfaction anyway.  Keep putting a bit in and then deleting it 'cos it goes in the wrong direction.  Have to figure out if I should even keep the scene.  It might need a total re-think, but my reader is away at the party and won't be back for a few more days.  Dammit.

Roast for supper tomorrow.  Have invited Reet and Gore over.  Sunday is Stephanie's party, but that should only be a few hours.  Have already done most of the dishes and laundry.  Will be kinda bored tomorrow.  Would like to get up early and go for a walk.  Take some piccies of that big boat thats in the harbour.  Funny looking cranes on it, especially as it's docked right next to the ferris wheel.

Exciting, no?  Would be better if I wasn't having major crampage right now.  Think I'm headed off to bed.  Maybe the writer's block will be gone by tomorrow.

I expect at least someone to find an internet connection in the hotel ladies.  (drums fingers)  They all have business offices one can 'borrow' at no charge if you just ask.

RLB Board

The RLB board has suddenly gone down, and the timing is rather alarming. And coincidental. Even though it's been a year I wouldn't put it past a certain vengeful spiteful person to mess with us when we're away. Simply because someone is a better person than she is. How immature.

Mayhap the server is just down, and it's not just us. But we've been planning this party for months now and it's the only time the site has ever been down for an extended period. It's enough to make me wonder. She's a twister alright, until you see both sides and think for yourself.

Ickle sweet DanDan my arse.

Spent a good portion of the day with Liam and Reet. To keep the ween occupied, we went to the new Railroad Museum that was opened on Wednesday. It was alright - too boring for a five year old, but was nice for Reet as her father used to work on the Railroad. Model trains were ok, they weren't much special but I was spoiled by Percy's Lionel stuff at an early age.

The continuing saga )

Got sent to the grocery by Gore. He's demanding cherry pie and his monthly baked good. Purchased all necessary supplies, will begin cooking after I bathe Bob in the next few minutes.

Put PTL on the stereo today and pretended like I was partying along with everyone else. It's a lonely position to be in.
