Uuuh, beer.
Oct. 13th, 2013 01:31 amFinally getting around to posting some things. Have been busy at work for a change and unable to even log in from there with email postings. Been stuck running around to beds to register dead people before the ME comes to get the bodies. Yes, I touch dead people now. Not as fun as it sounds. The last guy was still warm but dead.
Got the back door kind of fixed. Ripped out the frame and threshold, had to rebuild part of the jamb and the strikeplate, the hinges are still messed up but I couldn't find the right router bit to actually put the inges on the right way, so I just stuck it back in on that side. At least the lock works now, and it actually closes and locks securely. Left the threshold off as it was a piece of crap and shouldn't have been installed the way it was in the first place.

Got a good look at the flooring situation here in the living room. It flooded at some point, and someone living here previously had some dog/cat urination issues. There's no way to get that out of porous concrete slab. That's why the crappy laminate is down and poorly installed, looks like someone just slammed it down to cover up the piss stains. It smells quite lurverly.
Need a new door, door frame, and flooring in the living room, replacing the mopboard at least in the back half of the room. Get to it one of these days.
Can't really see it from the photo, but gas is finally back under $3/gallon. Ended up being $2.96 with discount card. Best it's been in at least two years. Still not good, it was $0.99 back in '99 when I was first driving, we won't ever see that again.

Did end up going to the NoLabel Brewery today. Luckily for me they had their Dark Wheat Ale on tap. Unfortunately for me they had their dark wheat ale on tap. Three large pints and I'm just now recovering twelve hours late. That's what I get for getting a flu shot yesterday, being on my period and anemic, and drinking in the sun on an empty stomach. The triple whammy of hangover. Had an apple and some crackers and most of it has gone away. Still have some beer chips left as well, so maybe I can go back and have one down the road later, but certainly not three. Ended up sleeping for about five hours when I got home, so doubtlessly I'll be up all night now.

No, it's not my photo. I was not in any condition to be taking photos. Never did make it to Trader's Village or the Rice Festival. William's foot was acting up too, even if I didn't get pissed we would have still come straight home.
What an interesting collection of prompts for the XMas Tree this year. Way cool.
