Count: 96k
Aug. 2nd, 2019 04:32 pmNot sure on wordcount, but Focuswriter says I'm at 387% of my daily goal. 96,507 words and still going. Got into some very good plotty stuff today and it's just been flying by. I've not had to struggle except for a few backspaced sentences here and there.
Still have to work tonight which will likely end today's writing session. Won't be able to get back to it much before midnight if at all tonight. Feel like the main female character is finally starting to show some development other than the normal baby->child->teen track she's been on. It's nice having two adult characters finally. The fight I'm writing now is almost verbatim something I went through when I was twenty, so the emotions are still pretty raw and I'm able to paint a good picture, seeing it now from the older person's POV as well as my own at that age.
In funner news, got a 32" video monitor at MicroCenter a few days ago. William is loving it, biggest computer monitor we've ever had. Can't say he's running Ableton on it yet, but he is watching some videos and it looks nice and sharp.
Mary, my friend's sister in Oswego, died a a few days ago. It's all over the papers up there as she was rather influential. There's always more to the story than what they print, but it's a blessing she didn't suffer long. Sometimes the end of life is a small mercy. No words on services yet. Joann is hardly capable of organizing it all and Conlee is still recovering from her heart attack.
Time to get ready for work. Gotta put the fun stuff down and make some money. :( Wish everyday writing was this easy and fun.
