Memories of Friends
Jul. 29th, 2019 05:30 amWas talking about Scotty earlier today, which was weird because it's not his birthday or his death day or anything. Not sure where it came from, I think we were talking about memories of Lemmy and he came up somehow. Thought about writing a little list: Scotty's Rules for Life. Things he should have listened to but never did. Like not meeting girls in rehab. Simple life lessons. He always had so much shit going on, even in high school. For a dude from Red Creek HS that's a lot. I feel like that dinosaur on the fake children's book - all my friends are dead.
If anyone can draw let me know. Gonna see if I can get together a small postcard book or something. Actually, who is left from the original Bible Black lineup get together on Kingdom Road? Lupa? Lloydy? Not many. Wow.
Finally got passes for Travis Larson next month. They're going to be so happy that Bill's still alive and doing well. Will be happy to see them again. Incidentally, playing with the Aristocrats, gonna see if Jennifer can get me an in with Marco. Doubt he'll be interested, but there is always hope.
Liam has stared driving. Just around the empty backside of Great Northern, but Peggy said he did really well which is shocking. Always just figured with his physical limitations he wouldn't be able to drive but he's managing an automatic well apparently. Now to see if he has the mental ability to drive. :( Poor kid. It's not his fault and he's been wanting to drive since forever. I am not envious of Russ' position right now teaching him how to drive.
Up to 90k on the shit fic. It's pretty much going to be un-postable, unless I orphan it. Fun as hell to write, but man, I feel bad for stealing the identity that I stole as a main character. Too late to change it now without some major plotline changes and almost a complete re-write. Oh well. I write for me and not the feedback, so orphan it may be. I can't even make a Twilight crap out of it, flipping them to OC's because the references are spread so thick through it that anyone could see it's clearly James. Captain Sluggish just doesn't have the same ring to it.
Worked all night, gonna hit the WallyMart on the way home, then it's off downtown for an $37k infusion. Gotta love American healthcare. At least tomorrow is an off night and I can sleep.
