From The Weather Channel:

AS OF 5 AM...A 15 MILE WIDE BAND OF VERY HEAVY SNOW CONTINUED TO POUR IN OFF LAKE ONTARIO ACROSS THE HEART OF OSWEGO COUNTY. THIS BAND HAS WIDENED A BIT AND LIFTED A FEW MILES NORTH DURING THE PAST FEW OURS BUT CONTINUES TO DROP SNOW AT THE RATE OF THREE INCHES PER HOUR FROM THE CITY OF OSWEGO TO PALERMO...MEXICO...AND PARISH. MOST OF THIS AREA HAS RECEIVED 12 TO 18 INCHES SINCE 9 PM SUNDAY EVENING...WITH TOTALS SINCE SATURDAY EVENING OF AROUND 3 FEET.

THE SNOWBAND WILL MOVE LITTLE EARLY THIS MORNING BUT SHOULD BEGIN TO WEAKEN IN INTENSITY BY MID MORNING BEFORE IT LIFTS NORTH AND OUT OF AREA BY MIDDAY. IN THE MEANTIME...EXPECT AS MUCH AS 6 TO 12 INCHES OF ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL BETWEEN 5 AM AND 10 AM... BRINGING STORM TOTALS TO AS MUCH AS FOUR FEET!

TRAVEL WILL BE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE THIS MORNING ON ROUTES SUCH AS 104...2...3...AND INTERSTATE 81 BETWEEN CENTRAL SQUARE AND PULASKI.

It appears I will be walking to work, as I have to travel on 104 and it's not so pretty trying to get a Hyaundai Accent through 4" of snow. And that is not counting the drifts. Emergency travel only of course means I need to get to work, as filing charts is apparently an emergency. Yay me, it's my fault it's snowing and people won't come in. I knew this would happen.

Do I bring my shovel with me and use it as a walking stick, or just leave it here and jump through the banks? Wish me luck.
